tr.im Watch All episodes on the link above American Idol Season 9, Episode 15: First Results Show: Two Male and Two Female Contestants Eliminated Original Air Date—25 February 2010 Ryan says 24 million votes came in and tells us that Alison Iraheta and Kris Allen will be performing. Kris’ performance will benefit Haiti. Ryan says Simon’s harshness was the “buzz of the nation.” Simon thinks that’s silly and doesn’t feel like he was overly cruel, he was just trying to give advice. Ellen says her first week held some surprises and she understands the nerves of the first timers. Randy gets it too: the millions of viewers, the cameras, the judges. Kara jokes that she and her husband are working out her crush on Casey. Her husband is in the audience. Group Sing: “American Boy,” Estelle. The ladies kick it off and then the boys chime in. Nothing has miraculously changed between seasons, goofy group singing is still cringe-worthy. Ryan begins the elimination process. Siobhan, Haeley, Michelle, Katelyn, and Katie are safe. Janell is the first to be going home. She handles it well and then of course has to sing the song that got her eliminated. Performance: “Scars,” Alison Iraheta. Wow, her hair is really red now and her look is really glammy. It’s a ballad but it’s got nice lift to it and she sounds good. I was hoping she would rock out more. Ryan finishes off the ladies. Paige, Lacey, Lilly, Crystal, and Didi are safe and Ashley is going home and she has to sing the now …

bit.ly American Idol Season 9 Episode 4 Orlando Auditions 2010 Orlando auditions = totally underwhelming. The only audition worth mentioning is reformed juvenile delinquent, Matthew Lawrence and his pure, undistilled take on Ray LaMontagnes Trouble. Well, Ok, R&B singer, Jermaine Purifoy was pretty good too. And that trio of girl singers we caught a glimpse ofJanell Wheeler, Brittany Star James and Kasi Bedford left me wanting to hear more. But everyone else? Meh. I mean if you take away the singers backstories tonight, you were pretty much left with nothing. It twas a shame that guest judge Kristin Chenoweth could only judge the first day of the auditions. Like Shania in last nights Chicago auditions, her critiques were specific and helpful. Plus, she is hella funny. I cant say that I miss Paula Abdul, but there is a noticeably different tone at the judges table. Kara still hasnt quite found her place on the panel, and the lack of chemistry between the judges is really apparent with Paula out of the picture. Next week, its on to LA. With Hollywood Week finished, and the Top 24 chosen, I wonder if the remaining episodes will be edited to contain more contestant pimping? The very last episode before the Hollywood Rounds looks to be some sort of best of episode. I bet the producers use it to highlight those special contestants TPTB would like us to bond with American Idol Orlando Auditions “American Idol Orlando Auditions” “Part 1″ “Part 2″ “Part 3″ “Part 4″ “Part 5″ “Part …

Siobhan Magnus House of the Rising Sun Shes dedicating the song to her Dad, who introduced her to music. I dunno peeps. She sang it really well, but she didnt take it anywhere. What style was that? I felt like I was sitting at a school assembly. She doesnt have an artistic identitiy. Randy says, You come out every week you surprise usyou take every riskyou dont listen to us at all keep doing that cause its hot. Ellen says, You are why I love musicI was captivated, you made it current you are spectacular. Kara says, I loved the acapella vibe at the frontyou are so unique and differentI really liked it tonight. American Idol 2010 Crystal Bowersox Top 10 Midnight Train to Georgia R&B Soul

Crystal Bowersox Midnight Train to Georgia American Idol Top 10 R&B Soul season 9 performance. “Midnight Train to Georgia” is a song by Gladys Knight. My rating : 8/10. Judges Randy : I love the outfit. Im working with Gladys Knight now. You did her proud. I like the way you switched it up. I thought it was another great performance by you. Ellen : Youre never not good. You are always great. Thats another side of you. You are in it to win it, and that was a wonderful, wonderful idea. Kara : Im so glad that you took that risk. I wanted to see another side of you. There so many things about you that I love. I cant wait to see what you do next. Simon : Choice of song was senstional, vocals at times were absolutely incredible. The backup vocals made it old fashioned. You were uncomfortable with the piano. Dont let this process suck the identity out of you. What you were doing before was fantastic, I had no issue, you know what you should be doing, just do whats comfortable for you. Don’t change into something that you’re not.
Casey James: American Idol Top 8 Boys

Casey James brings his acoustic guitar for the Keith Urban hit You’ll Think of Me. The smile’s gone, the hair’s pulled back, and he looks serious for a change. Casey puts just a little bit of that modern-rock quiver into his voice, but at a very quiet level. He doesn’t sound at all like Keith — and it’s a pretty cool version. Randy think it was a safe choice. He wants to see more edge, more Stevie Ray Vaughan. “It was alright.” Ellen, on the other hand, thought it was great. She thinks the sitting-on-a-stool thing feels like his “vibe.” Kara says she’s kind of “back on the Casey train.” But she’s “missing that spark.” Still, “it’s definitely a move in the right direction.” Simon thinks it’s his second-best performance. “I think it made you sincere.” But he doesn’t think it’s something to rave about or remember a day from now. Randy loves it, aside from the pitch problems, and says he made it his own. Ellen likes that he “made it a little rock,” and echoes Randy’s talk of pitch problems. (Notice she does that a lot.) Kara says he looks confident (which is kind of like saying the girl you want to introduce your best friend to has a nice personality). And she thinks he made the song a better song with his version. “I thought it was a solid job.” Oh, brother. Simon says there’s nothing to rave about. He doesn’t think Lee had a moment (his catchphrase for 2010), and he thinks Lee is better than the version of the song he just did (as a person maybe; I have yet to see proof of …
